An interesting antique European wooden handled adjustable screw wrench or spanner.
The twin jaws are fitted on opposing screw threads allowing adjustment by twisting the wooden handle.

The jaws are 43/4 inches (120mm) wide with a maximum capacity of 21/4 inches (57mm).
The octagonal beechwood handle is marked 'F.R', presumably the initials of a previous owner.
All parts move freely and tighten securely.
