Marked 'THE TAILOR & CUTTER LTD 42 GERRARD ST. LONDON'.
The TAILOR & CUTTER was a magazine produced by the John Williamson Company whilst the John Williamson Company's TAILOR & CUTTER ACADEMY provided courses (and equipment) for the training of young tailors. Both were based at 42 Gerrard Street in the early part of the 20th century.
It is believed that this square was produced by either JOHN RABONE or EDWARD PRESTON, the two leading rule makers of the time.
