A nice 1 1/4 inch wide long thin bevel edge paring chisel by MARPLES of Sheffield.

Marked 'W MARPLES & SONS SHEFFIELD ENGLAND' with the Shamrock trade mark on the top of the blade.

Good London pattern octagonal boxwood handle with brass ferrule, previous owner's stamps 'R.G.PARNELL'.

The blade measures a touch over 1¹/₄" (32mm) wide at the cutting edge.

Some pitting and staining spots but these are well away from the cutting edge, please see images.

16¹/₈ inches (410mm) overall length.
