A 1/4 inch (6mm) vintage MARPLES firmer chisel with Splitproof handle.

This is a MARPLES Splitproof chisel with the round neck and believed by many to be the best of the MARPLES Splitproof chisels.

Very good red and yellow oval handle marked 'MARPLES' to one side with 'WM MARPLES & SONS SHEFFIELD ENG.' with the Shamrock trade mark on the other.
