A very little used, probably unused, 3/4 inch (19mm) vintage MARPLES bevel edge chisel with Splitproof handle.

This is the earlier genuine MARPLES Splitproof chisel with the round neck and believed by many to be the best of the MARPLES Splitproof chisels.

Marked 'MARPLES SHEFFIELD ENGLAND' with the size in metric and imperial on the back of the blade, some minor staining spots, please see images.

Red and yellow oval handle marked 'MARPLES' to one side with 'WM MARPLES & SONS SHEFFIELD ENG.' with the Shamrock trade mark on the other.

Complete with the original MARPLES edge guard.
