A very tidy and interesting 3/4 inch handled wooden screwbox.

No tap but with its sample work piece.

Unusually, the top of the box is marked 'WM MARPLES & SONS SHEFFIELD ENG' with the Shamrock trade mark and this mark has been overstamped 'WARD & PAYNE SHEFFIELD' with the Hammers over Anvil trade mark, please see close-up image.

Also stamped '68' to the underside and inside of the beechwood box.

No previous owner's stamps.
