A very clean and crisp 8 inch brass plated ebony spirit level with ebony inserts.

Almost identical to the No.1244 Ornamental Ebony Level shown in the 1909 EDWARD PRESTON & SONS catalogue but not marked.

Clear bubble and tube.

Marked 'WARRANTED' to the top brass plate.

Brass plated top, tipped bottom and brass side views.

Previous owner's stamps 'J.NORFOLK'.

Retains the majority of its original lacquer finish to the ebony stock.
