A good antique chariot plane, believed to be by SLATER of London

Similar in profile and with the same distinct brass bridge to those produced by this well known maker,  however this example is unmarked.

Screw to the toe. 

Brass bridge with rosewood wedge.

Fitted with a good length 1¹/₄ inch uncut blade iron, a few surface spots, please see images.

Clean and tidy mouth.

Steel strike button to the heel.
