A very good and little used 14 inch No.5 brass back saw by DISSTON USA.
Marked 'HENRY DISSTON & SONS PHILAD'A, U.S.A. CAST-STEEL WARRANTED' on the brass back.
Very good fruitwood handle with much of its original lacquer finish. Three brass fixings including the 'DISSTON PHILA' medallion.
Previous owner's stamps 'R.NORDON'.
The 14 inch blade is straight with all teeth (approx' 13 tpi) present and well formed.
Full and clear No.5 blade etching.
A few very minor surface staining spots.
Approximately 181/2 inches overall length.
We believe you will struggle to find a better example.
