Unusual with dovetailed planes, this one appears to be craftsman made.

Good length 2³/₁₆ inch GEO P PRESTON blade iron with 'WARRANTED STEEL' cap iron.  2¹/₈ inches remain below the slot, a few surface spots, please see images.

Good overstuffed (mahogany ?) infill.

There is an old repair to the base of the handle however all appears firm and secure, please see close-up images.
