A very good 3/9 inch or 9mm vintage straight carving gouge by HENRY TAYLOR of Sheffield.

Marked 'HENRY TAYLOR' to the top of the blade.

Not marked with a sweep number however this gouge is a good match to a London pattern No.9 sweep.

Very good beech wood handle with brass ferrule.

No previous owner's stamps.
