An unusual vintage, possibly antique, steel combination vernier and depth gauge with brass fittings.

Divide into millimeters and sixteenths on one side and millimeters to the other.

Marked 'METER' and 'ENGL' at the end of the scale.

The lower jaw can be removed and refitted for use as a depth gauge with the metric scale, please see images.

There are two brass locking screws ( 1 knurled, 1 slotted) that push onto a brass slip with steel pin.

A few surface scratches and spots.

All parts move freely and tighten securely.
