A good complex, quirk ovolo and astragal (?) profile moulding plane by JOHN GREEN of York.
Embossed mark 'IOHN GREEN' to the toe with two later indentations and '4' stamped on the heel.
Double boxed wear strips with one join in the rear section of one.
Fitted with a good length blade iron and original wedge, some minor surface spots, please see images.
This plane has the uncommon radiused or curved chamfers plus an unusual full length flat chamfer to the outside edge of the shoulder.
Previous owner's stamps 'W.NICHOLSON' and 'T.BRINDLE'.
