An unusual handled complex profile moulding plane.

The fully enclosed handle is a feature rarely seen on moulding planes and we have not seen a plane of this type made entirely from a single beech block before.

Marked 'J MORRISON' to the toe and stamped '1 1/4' on the heel.

Good length blade iron and original wedge, there are three old (treated and wax filled) worm exit holes, please see images.
