A good 1 1/8 inch or 28mm wide MARPLES No.9 deep curved carving gouge.

Marked 'W MARPLES & SONS CAST STEEL' with the Shamrock trade mark to the underside of the blade and stamped '9' on the top.

A few minor surface pitting and staining spots, please see images.

Very good boxwood handle with brass ferrule.
