A tidy RECORD No 05 1/2 jack plane.

Dismantled, cleaned, checked, oiled and reassembled.

This is a late production plane (circa 1976 - 1988) with the modified frog adjusting slot to accommodate the integral washer on the adjusting screw, please see close-up image.

Fitted with a good length 2³/₈ inch RECORD tungsten vanadium steel blade iron and matching cap iron, a little over 1³/₄ inches remain below the slot.

Retains the majority of its original blue finish throughout.

Very good hardwood handles with patches of their original lacquer finish.
