A tidy 1/4 inch centre bead or reed moulding plane by MATHIESON of Glasgow.
Marked 'A MATHIESON & SON GLASGOW' with the Crescent and Star trade mark on the toe.
Stamped '1/4' on the heel.
Also stamped '16' behind the wedge mortice, please see close-up image.
Good length blade iron, some minor surface pitting and staining spots, please see images.
Excellent boxing with no cracks or splits.
No previous owner's stamps.
