An American STANLEY No.19 knuckle joint block plane.
Believed to be a type 6, circa 1902-1902.
Marked 'STANLEY PAT.DEC.28.86.' on the knuckle joint lever cap.
Fitted with a 15/8 inch STANLEY cutter marked 'STANLEY NEW BRITAIN CONN. U.S.A.'.
Marked 'PAT.8.3.97' behind the frog.
Eccentric throat lever is marked 'PAT.FEB.20.94'.
'B' casting letters on the body, throat plate and on the inside of the lever cap.
The No.19 has an adjustable mouth to allow for coarse or fine work.
Retains much of its original black finish, some wear the lever cap nickel plating.
All parts move freely and tighten securely.
Some surface scratches, pitting and staining spots.
'O.K.P' is marked on both sides, presumably from a previous owner.
