Brass Infill Smoothing Plane

An attractive handled brass infill smoothing plane with ebony and ebonised infill.
Both the wedge and front and rear infill appear to be solid ebony with the closed handle ebonised hardwood.
Fitted with a 21/4 inch SORBY parallel blade iron with matching cap iron, a few surface pitting and staining spots. 15/16 inch remain below the slot.
Nicely shaped scroll topped wedge.
There is an old patch repair to the front bun, please see close-up images.
Some minor surface knocks and scratches.
Faint and illegible previous owner's stamp to the top of the wedge.
711/16 inches sole length.
