A tidy PRESTON 1355 bull nose plane.

One of the plane types to continue (as the No.077) when RECORD purchased PRESTON's plane business in the 1930s.

Stamped 'No 1355' to the left side.

The casting for this plane includes the 'bulge' which would be drilled and tapped to form the PRESTON No.2506 plane with removeable toe section, please see close-up image.

Marked ‘PRESTON ENGLAND‘ with the EP trade mark on the cap.

Complete with a well used original PRESTON 11/8 inch cutter, little remains however the previous owner has fitted a modified STANLEY 90 replacement blade, please see images.

Stamped ’No 1355 31’ inside the main body, to the underside of the lever and on the back of the original cutter iron.

Good clean mouth.

Some patchy loss of the original nickle plating, please see images.

A few minor surface knocks and scratches.

4 inch sole.

All parts move freely and tighten securely.
