Marked 'BRIT REGD 855928 PRO PAT 25515/48' to one side of the head.

This proposed patent relates to British patent 656,752 granted 29th August 1951 to G&J HALL LTD and JOHN MOTTRAM for 'improvements in ratchet braces'.  Copies of the original documents can be seen in the last four images.

Designed to accept standard No.2 taper square shanks.
