Also sometimes referred to as a carriage makers' rabbet plane. 

Fitted with a flat topped RECORD 2¹/₈ inch best crucible cast tungsten steel blade iron and matching cap iron, a little over ⁹/₁₆ inch remains.

Retains the majority of its original blue finish throughout.

Marked 'OFF CUT ON' to the inside of the brass depth adjusting nut.

The nickel plating on the lever cap has begun to bubble and lift.

This plane has been in storage for a number of years and has light surface pitting spots to the sides and sole with a few slightly deeper, please see images.

Good beechwood handles.

All parts move freely and tighten securely.

12⁷/₈ inches overall length.

Not the prettiest but a perfectly useable plane.
