Scarce RECORD 124 Hand Drill *SOLD*

Code: 2687f

A rare RECORD No.124 improved hand drill.

Only produced for a short period before WW2.

The 124 has Bakelite knobs and a hollow hardwood handle for storing bits.

This hollow handle can be removed and re-positioned at 180 degrees to the gear wheel to allow use as a 'pistol grip' drill.

The handle locking screw is still in place and the handle thread clearly shows where this screw fits.

Marked 'RECORD MADE IN ENGLAND No124' on the gear lever with 'RECORD' also on the three jaw chuck.

The malleable iron frame retains patches of the original blue finish as does the red gear wheel.

Small chip to the top of the handle, some patchy nickel plating loss, please see close-up images.

No missing teeth.

14 inches overall length.
