A scarce single owner set of 24 little used brace bits by JOHN WILSON of Sheffield.

Made up of 9 centre bits, 6 nose bits, 3 shell bits, 1 taper bit and 5 countersink bits.

The centre bits are marked in sizes: ³/₁₆, ¹/₄, ⁵/₁₆, ³/₈, ⁷/₁₆, ⁵/₈, 1, 1¹/₈ and 1¹/₄  inch. 

The countersinks are marked in sizes: ¹/₂ and ⁵/₈" (flat), ¹/₂ and ⁵/₈" (snail) and ⁵/₈" (rose).

Each bit is marked 'JOHN WILSON SHEFFIELD' with all except the nose and shell bits also having the Greyhound trade mark.

Much of the original 'straw' finish remains, some surface rust spots, please see images.
