A good HENRY SLATER malleable iron London pattern bull nose plane.

Marked 'H SLATER MEREDITH ST CLERKENWELL LONDON' to the top and stamped 'M' on the heel, this was how the majority of manufacturers marked their malleable iron planes.

Interestingly this plane is also marked 'GRIFFITHS NORWICH' to the right side of the rosewood wedge indicating that it was purchased from this well know plane making and tool dealing business.

Fitted with a good length 1¹/₈ inch blade iron marked 'I & H SORBY SHEFFIELD'.

Good mouth.
