A dovetailed steel infill rabbet or rebate plane by Stewart SPIERS of Ayr, Scotland.
Marked 'SPIERS AYR' on the front infill at the toe.
Fitted with the original WARD 11/8 inch blade iron.
Excellent rosewood infill and wedge.
The wedge, iron and iron bed are all stamped '3'.
There are a few knocks and scratches with some pitting and staining spots to the steel, please see all images.
Previous owner's stamp 'G.A.WOOLSTON' to the toe.
