A scarce American STANLEY 15 1/2 tail handle block plane.

The No 15¹/₂ block plane has an adjustable mouth to allow for coarse or fine work.

Marked 'S B' to the inside of the adjustable mouth sole plate.

Fitted with a good length 1⁵/₈ inch STANLEY cutter marked 'STANLEY NEW BRITAIN CONN USA', a few minor surface spots, 1³/₁₆ inch remains below the slot.

Very good rosewood knob to the rear handle.

Retains the majority of its original black finish throughout.

All parts move freely and tighten securely.
