A good American STANLEY No 40 scrub plane.

Fitted with a good length extra thick convex cutter with the 'STANLEY NEW BRITAIN CONN USA' Victory trade mark circa 1912 - 1918.  5¹⁵/₁₆ inches overall length, a few minor surface spots, please see images.

Complete with the original beech wood tall front knob and rear handle.  

There is an old repair to the rear handle however all appears firm and secure, please see close-up images.

The majority of the original black finish remains.

A few minor surface scratches to the sole, please see images.
