A tidy STANLEY No.5 1/2 jack plane.

Dismantled, cleaned, checked, oiled and reassembled.

Heavier and wider than the No.5 jack plane, this one weighs in at 5 lb 14¹/₂ oz (2678g).

Fitted with a 2³/₈ inch English STANLEY blade iron and matching cap iron, 1¹/₂ inches remain below the slot.

Composite or hard plastic and brass depth adjusting wheel

The lever cap nickel plating has started to bubble with a few loss patches around the 'kidney shaped hole', please see close-up images.

Marked 'STANLEY' on the lateral lever.

Refinished hardwood handles.

Retains almost all of the original black finish.

A few minor surface knocks, scratches, pitting and staining spots.

All parts move freely and tighten securely.

15 inches overall length.
