A scarce early STANLEY No 62 low angle jack plane.

Produced between 1905 and 1942.

This example has the 'B' casting mark on the inside of the depth adjuster knob and to the underside of the adjustable throat section.

The eccentric lever is marked with Trout & Bodmer's 'PAT 2 20 94' throat adjustment patent.

Both the depth adjustment knob and the lever cap knob are marked 'STANLEY.

Good length 2 inch STANLEY blade iron, a little over 1 inch remains below the slot.

Good rosewood knob and handle with steel screws, the rear handle is stamped with the previous owner's mark 'J.STANNARD' to both sides.

Plenty of the original black finish remains.

As with the majority of STANLEY 62 planes, this one has a small chip to the rear right corner of the mouth, please see close-up images.

All parts move freely and tighten securely.
