A scarce No.68AE 2 foot 4 fold boxwood rule by STANLEY USA.

The No.68 rule is a basic STANLEY carpenters rule and appears quite regularly in the USA however few are found marked with the 'AE' suffix.

Marked 'MADE IN USA No 68AE' with the STANLEY Sweetheart trade mark on the outside with 'WARRANTED BOXWOOD' to the inside.

Simple round main joint with brass tipped ends.

Divided into eighths and sixteenths.

Retains the three brass locating pins and much of the original lacquer finish.

Some staining around the metal pins in the joints and a few minor surface knocks and scratches, please see images.
