A little used STANLEY No 4 1/2 smoothing plane.

Heavier and wider than the No.4 planes.

Dismantled, cleaned, checked, oiled and reassembled.

Fitted with a full length 2³/₈ inch STANLEY blade iron with matching cap iron, 2 inches below the slot.

Some minor bubbling to the nickel plating on the lever cap, please see close-up image.

Very good hardwood handles with the majority of the original lacquer finish on the rear handle and some patchy loss to the front knob, please see images.

A few minor surface knocks and spots, please see images.

All parts move freely and tighten securely.
