A nice 7 5/8 inch Gents' pattern drawknife by STEVENSON MAWHOOD & Co of Sheffield.

STEVENSON MAWHOOD & Co went bankrupt in 1879 and the well known MAWHOOD BROTHERS of Palm Tree Works was formed soon after.

Marked 'STEVENSON MAWHOOD & Co' with the Crown trade mark on the blade.

Good boxwood handles with brass ferrules and tang washers, the left hand ferrule is split but firm and secure.

7⁵/₈ inch (195mm) inch cutting edge.
