Marked 'SPIERS AYR PLANE-O-AYR' on the cast lever cap with '120' at the toe.

The back of the lever cap has 'S' at the bottom, please see close-up image.

Fitted with a 2 inch Pharaoh Sheffield trade marked blade iron with Warranted Steel cap iron, a little over 1¹/₂ inches remain below the slot.

Distinctive high side walls.

Very good beech wood front knob and rear handle.

Previous owner's stamps 'H.J.PAINE' and 'N.SHERMER' to the sides of the rear handle.

Much of the original black finish remains to the inside of the casting.
