Add To Your WishlistThe Plough Plane - The Study of a Collection by David R Prichard

This book is based on a private collection of plough planes built up over the past 40 years.  With 140 pages containing detailed descriptions complimented by 246 colour illustrations showing some of the most unusual, intriguing, complex and unique examples from the UK, Europe and the USA.

Whilst many will have heard of rarities such as the Falconer plough (page 131) and the Sandusky center wheel plow (page 79) when did you ever see a Syers Improved Plough (page 77) ?

The author has a detailed understanding of the tools in his collection with many of the more complicated ploughs having been dismantled to reveal their hidden workings.

The book is divided into sections and introduces a new way of categorising the various plough planes into different types based on form and function.
