A scarce double reed or side reed moulding plane by Thomas TURNER of Sheffield.
This type of plane usually creates reeds of 1/4 inch or above however this example is designed to cut a pair of reeds of only 1/16" in width each, please see close-up image.
Marked 'T TURNER SHEFFIELD' with the Bottle trade mark on the toe.
Full solid boxing with no cracks or splits.
Good length blade iron with original wedge, a few surface pitting and staining spots, please see images.
No previous owners stamps.
