No doubt also used by other trades where smaller cutters were required.

CHAMPIONS were scissor smiths whose manufacturing history can be traced back to the late 1700s.

This pair are marked 'CHAMPION SHEFFIELD ENGLAND' to one grip and are also stamped '1942' with the military Broad Arrow mark on the opposite side, please see images.

There are also three lines to the inside of one grip, most likely the mark of a previous owner.

Firm joint.

Patches of the original 'black' finish remains.
