An interesting vintage swing brace drill.

This brace has the typical hardwood head pad and central grip however the chuck is unusual.

Made up of a collar with six different shaped/sized notches to allow a variety of bits to be held.

Knurled and threaded shell to tighten the collar against the end plate, thus gripping the bit.

10 inch sweep.

Everything moves freely and tightens securely.

Approximately 10⁵/₈ inches (270mm) overall length.

An unusual brace that we have not seen before.
