A very good and little used 3/16 inch or 4mm in-cannel paring gouge by WARD & PAYNE of Sheffield.

Marked 'WARD' with the Hammers over Anvil trade mark to the underside of the blade and stamped '3-16-3-16' on one side.

Also marked '"KELSON"' to the top of the blade, this is the mark of ROBERT KELLY & SONS of Liverpool.

Very good boxwood handle with brass ferrule and the registered design stamp 'RD429721'.

No previous owner's stamps.
