An unusual old tool best described as a 'whatsit' until we know more.
The gracefully waved steel blade is approximately 3/16 inch thick and 8" in length.
The blade ends with a curved cutting edge 7/8" wide.
A few pitting and staining spots, please see images.
Our best guess is that this is some kind of leather cutting tool but we can find no similar examples.
Simple line decorated beechwood handle with brass ferrule.
Previous owner's stamps 'G.CARR'.
131/4 inches overall length.
If you know what is it please feel free to enlighten us.
