An unused MARPLES 1/4 inch (6.5mm) mortice chisel.

Also known as a sash mortice chisel.

Marked 'W MARPLES & SONS SHEFFIELD ENGLAND' with the Shamrock trade mark to one side of the blade.

This chisel retains its original factory grind, please see close-up image.

Excellent boxwood handle with brass ferrule, leather washer, MARPLES trade mark and almost all of its original lacquer finish.

There is a split to the ferrule however all is firm and secure, please see images.
