A good 3/8 inch or 10mm straight carving gouge by HENRY TAYLOR of Sheffield.

Marked 'H TAYLOR SHEFFIELD' to the underside of the blade and stamped with the Acorn trade mark to the top.

Not marked with a sweep number however this gouge is a good match to a London pattern No.7 sweep.

Good beechwood handle with brass ferrule.

Previous owner's stamps 'W S DIAMOND'.
