A good No.7 sweep straight carving gouge by MARPLES of Sheffield.

Just over 7/16 inch or 12mm at the cutting edge.

Marked 'MARPLES & SONS SHEFFIELD' with the Shamrock trade mark to the back of the blade with '7' stamped on the top.

Some minor pitting spots to the inside of the blade, please see images.

Very good beech wood handle with brass ferrule.

No previous owner's stamps.
