An unusual MARPLES 8 inch narrow rosewood spirit level with brass plated top and steel bottom or sole.

One we have not seen before.

The only description we can find that comes close is a No 2334 Millwrights' spirit level listed in the MARPLES 1909 catalogue.

Marked 'W MARPLES & SONS HIBERNIA' with the Shamrock trade mark and 'WARRANTED CORRECT' to the top brass plate, please see close-up images.

The clear glass bubble tube is intact.
