An interesting cove profile moulding plane marked W SAXBY.

This mark is in the usual place for a maker's mark to the top of the toe however it is not listed in any of the BPM editions.

The embossed mark is typical of those used by Birmingham makers in that the zig zag border follows the profile of the letters.
