A very little used late RECORD No 05 1/2 jack plane.

Dismantled, cleaned, checked, oiled and reassembled.

This is a late production plane with the modified frog adjusting slot to accommodate the integral washer on the adjusting screw, please see close-up image.

Fitted with a full length 2³/₈ inch RECORD tungsten vanadium steel blade iron and matching cap iron, almost 2³/₄ inches remains below the slot with the majority of its original factory grind, please see images.

Retains its original blue finish throughout.

Excellent hardwood handles with their original lacquer finish.

All parts move freely and tighten securely.
