A clean and tidy STANLEY No 4 smoothing plane.

Dismantled, cleaned, checked, oiled and reassembled.

Fitted with a good length English STANLEY 2 inch blade iron and matching cap iron, a little over 2 inches remain below the slot.

The lever cap has lost its nickel plated finish to the front surface, please see images.

Retains much of its original black finish throughout.

Good hardwood handles with plenty of the original lacquer.

All parts move freely and tighten securely.
