Marked 'BRIT PAT No 463999' on one back plate and 'RD No 809566' on the other.

This patent was granted to BLOORE & PILLER in 1937.

The sliding section reads 'VACANT' or 'ENGAGED' relating to the position of the bolt.

Hexagonal brass handle.

The backing plate of the sliding section measures 2³/₄ by 1¹/₄ inches, the backing plate of the bolt measures 2¹/₈ by 1¹/₄".
