11 unused vintage Serpent brand C5078 11 gauge 16 inch upholsterers' needles with two points by JOHN JAMES & SONS of Redditch.

From a retired upholsterer's workshop.

'Traditionally the length of an upholstery needle is quoted in imperial measurement (inches) and its diameter is the gauge of the wire used in its manufacture.  Straight upholstery needles have two pointed ends, one with an eye, and are used in upholstery restoration and repair.'

All are marked 'ENGLAND'.
