A very tidy American STANLEY No 6 fore plane.

Believed to be a type 13, circa 1925 - 1928.

Dismantled, cleaned, checked, oiled and reassembled.

Fitted with a good length English STANLEY 2³/₈ inch blade iron, a little over 2¹/₁₆ inches remain below the slot.

1910 patent date behind the frog.

Keyhole lever cap.

Retains the majority of its original black finish throughout.

Very good rosewood handles, small nick to the top of the rear handle, please see close-up image.

A few minor surface knocks, scratches and spots.

The previous owner has marked 'CW' to the left side cheek.

All parts move freely and tighten securely.

18 inches overall length.
